Dream Interpretations...

So, lately I've been having some -really- crazy dreams. I was talking to a friend about what on earth they could mean, and she (in all her mighty wisdom) told me that at night, your mind tries to work out problems via dreams. Sooooooo, if you can interpret your dreams then you can find out problems your mind is facing and -possibly- help and fix them! Sounds easy enough... Right?

Anyways, I'll be sharing one (or possibly more) of my dreams, RIGHT HERE! Ready for the first one? M'kay.

We'll start with the very first one I had, it's a zombie apocalypse dream.

In my dream I wake up and I am alone in a cabin. It is snowing outside and I am very cold. I look around, I see my face in a broken mirror, with many eyes looking at me. I turn around again, and the cabin is torn apart and on fire. I am alone, everyone is dead around me. I am crying. I pick up the glass from the broken mirror and slit my wrist. I wake up.

First things first, I know this sounds dismal, but I woke up crying, but I felt extremely comforted. Like I had a million questions answered for myself! So, I will look up, and interpret the parts of my dream that seemed the most impressionable, and then find a conclusion! The most impressionistic points were: The cabin, cold, fire, broken home, eyes, mirror, death, and dying.

(Hold on, after the definitions this will all make sense. I promise this gets better :] )

Cabin
To see or dream that you are in a wood cabin indicates that you will succeed via your own means. It suggests that you are self-reliant and independent, yet still remain humble. You prefer the simpler things in life.

COLD
Alternatively, you may be feeling isolated or emotionally restrained. Your sense of coldness could reflect your feelings about a lover or a certain person. The dream may also occur as a result of your immediate environment in which you are really feeling cold.

To see the word cold in your dream suggests that you need to be more neutral or objective in your decision making. You need to remain emotionally detached.

FIRE
To dream that a house is on fire indicates that you need to undergo some transformation. If you have recurring dreams of your family house on fire, then it suggests that you are still not ready for the change or that you are fighting against the change. Alternatively, it highlights passion and the love of those around you.

HOME broken
To dream that you have been burglarized indicates that you are feeling violated or that personal space has been invaded. You feel helpless in some situation or relationship. This could be due to a major change in your life. Give yourself some time to adjust to your new environment. The dream may also occur as a result of being burglarized in real life and a symptom of post traumatic stress.

Eyes
To see your own eyes in your dream represent enlightenment, knowledge, comprehension, understanding, and intellectual awareness. Unconscious thoughts may be coming onto the surface.
Trust your intuition and instincts.

Mirror
To dream of your own reflection in the mirror suggests that you are pondering thoughts about your inner self. The reflection in the mirror is how you perceive yourself or how you want others to see you. You may be contemplating on strengthening and changing aspects of your character.

To see a cracked or broken mirror in your dream. represents a poor or distorted self-image. Alternatively, it means that you have put an end to your old habits and ways.

Die
To dream that you die in your dream symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual.

Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.

My conclusion is that maybe I knew that I had to change the way that I viewed the world? To become less emotionally involved? That’s what it looks like at the moment… Maybe it’s a wakeup call to myself, and I need to start being more thought invoking rather than passive.

This is interesting because my personality has changed to be more objective since then! I was actually following my own dreams advice?

Seeeeeeee I told you it got better! Isn't this fascinating? I have learned so much more about myself by just interpreting -one- of my dreams. Try it out sometime :]

  1. WOW. And even though I don't believe in dreams or dream interpretation, this is good stuff. What does it mean to dream about losing all of your teeth, recurring dream. In the dream, I always get up to go to the bathroom, look in the same mirror open my mouth and my teeth start to drop in the sink. It shakes me to the core too. Great writing here sweet girl. Miss you, love you!

  2. I am impressed that you remember yours, I can hardly ever remember that I had a dream, let alone what the dream was about.
